How Long Does It Take to Become an Italian Resident?
Embarking on the journey to become an Italian resident is an exciting prospect for many individuals seeking to immerse themselves in Italy's rich culture and lifestyle. However, navigating the bureaucratic processes involved can often raise questions about timelines and requirements.
Anagrafe Registration
After the approval of your visa application you will proceed with the registration to the Anagrafe of the local municipality of your residence in Italy. This registration is necessary for the concession of the residency in Italy. The residency is granted by the local municipality where the registration has been applied for.
As a rule, the residency is granted within 45 days, during which time a visit will take place at the residence to verify physical presence by the holder(s) of the residency at the address that has been registered. It is very important that all people concerned (family members) are informed of the new address and that the holder(s) of the residency are available to meet the municipal officers.
Once the registration has been processed and the residency has been granted, the residency is granted from the day in which the registration is sent to the holder(s) of the residency, not from the day in which the registration is completed.
Move To Dolce Vita will assist you in the processing of the registration for the Anagrafe and all other necessary steps for your residency in Italy. Also we will be able to assist you in case of problems that may occur during the residency application process for work, study or living in Italy.
